Special Needs MinistriesAt Bethel Life, we believe every individual is created in God’s image and worthy of love, dignity, and belonging. Our Loving Hands Special Needs Ministries exist to support individuals with special physical, intellectual, behavioral, or emotional needs – and their families – through programs that offer care, community, and connection.
Our ministries includes:
- Loving Hands – monthly respite nights for children and siblings
- Loving Hands Prime – monthly respite nights for adults 18+
- Connect – a weekly midweek service designed for special needs individuals
- Loving Angels – a buddy program for Sunday services and Kids Ministry
Together, these programs provide safe spaces for fun, faith, and friendship while giving families needed support.
About Loving Hands
Monthly Respite Nights
Loving HANDS provides a fun, safe evening out for families with children that have special physical, intellectual, behavioral or emotional needs and their siblings. At Loving HANDS, kids of all ages enjoy an evening of fun, including a bounce house, ball pit, Wii and PS4 stations and snack. Each child is paired up with a trained volunteer for the evening.
Loving HANDS is held from 6–9pm at Bethel Life

Loving HANDS Prime provides respite for families who have children ages 18 and up who have physical or intellectual special needs. This program is perfect for the individual who would enjoy a more adult-like mature atmosphere. The evening includes music, dancing, free time and fellowship plus group activities such as games, karaoke, skits, music lessons, crafts, baking, etc.
Loving HANDS Prime is held from 6–9pm at the BLOC

Both events are held monthly while parents and caregivers get a well deserved break. All special dietary concerns are accommodated including gluten, casein and artificial dyes. Please pre-register for each date following the buttons below. No walk-ins please.

About Connect
Mid-week Faith Program for Special Needs Individuals
Thursdays from 11:00am–12:00pm (doors open at 10:30)
Bethel Life • 246 S. Mercer St. Greenville
Connect is a faith-based program (similar to a church service) for special needs individuals. The program is designed for those who would enjoy a structured experience and is best for ages 16 and older.
The program features:
- Interactive worship music + videos
- Easy to understand object lessons
- Free time
- Snacks
- Activities & crafts
- Handicapped accessible
Participants must be accompanied by an adult/caretaker. If you have any questions, please contact us.
About Loving Angels
Buddies for Sunday mornings
Our Loving Angels program provides one-on-one buddies for children with special needs so they can fully participate in Sunday worship services and Kids Ministry. Trained volunteers walk alongside children to offer care, encouragement, and support – helping every child experience God’s love in community.
